Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American broadcaster. She currently works for ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. Her first job at ESPN in 2016. The daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since the age of nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her land her first job as a an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami in which she assisted the production of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Following this it was announced that she was hired by the CBS subsidiary located in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. In 2009 she moved in Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. The stories she wrote about covered immigration as well as drug trafficking and other issues on both the Texas as well as the Mexico border. Additionally, she worked as a Spanish reporter for the newscast at 5 p.m. and anchor and reporter for the newscast of nine p.m. with a reporter and anchor in English as well as an anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. in English, as well Spanish reporter for 10 p.m. She would also fill in at times as a news and sports anchor. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallas' affiliate, where she takes on more responsibility. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November the 22nd of November, 1985. There is also an older sister. The family in 1992 left Mexico and moved to Miami. Her parents divorced soon after in 1995. Her mother was remarried to one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, younger Collins took a place along with her sister. Antonietta is a senior in high school, yet she had a clear idea of the path she was looking for. So while assessing if Mount Union is the right choice to her needs, Antonietta visited the campus. In the end, she loved the school and they were offering the kind of program she was searching for. After finishing high school, she made the decision to enroll at the university and major in media studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a member of her class, developed an ongoing friendship with the student. He was the one who boosted her confidence and whose passion in Journalism touched her deeply. In turn, she determined to meet his demands always delivering on time.
